Where Appstle is stronger

  • Small programs cost less. Free up to $500 a month of subscription revenue and $10 up to $5,000. RecurX has no free plan.
  • Track record. 8,818 reviews against RecurX’s 7.
  • Migration done for you. Appstle lists hands-on migration on every plan, including Free. RecurX’s importer is self-serve, with a free setup call.
  • Support hours and POS. 24/7 support, and Shopify POS in its integrations.

Where RecurX is stronger

  • Growing revenue does not move your price. RecurX prices by subscriber count, so a store with high order values or frequent deliveries stays on $29 up to 1,000 subscribers.
  • Everything on one base plan. Cancel flow and save offers, win-back campaigns, loyalty, build-a-box and Signal Analytics (cohorts, rebill waterfall, forecast) are all on Basic.
  • Storefront design. 16 widget designs recoloured to your theme, in 21 app languages.

How to move from Appstle to RecurX

RecurX does not have a dedicated Appstle connector. You bring subscriptions over with a CSV file exported from Appstle:

  1. Set up RecurX first. Install it (14-day free trial), recreate your plans and pick a widget design.
  2. Export your active subscriptions from Appstle to a CSV with customer email, Shopify variant ID, quantity, billing interval (unit and count) and next billing date for each one. Names, price and currency are optional columns.
  3. Pause billing in Appstle for the subscriptions you are moving, so nobody is charged by both apps.
  4. Import the file. In RecurX go to Migrate and choose CSV. RecurX creates a new Shopify subscription contract for each row, with the customer, products, quantity, price, billing frequency and next billing date. An import can be rolled back.
  5. Get a payment method on every subscription. Imported contracts have no card attached. A customer who already has a card saved in Shopify can choose it in the RecurX customer portal; anyone else enters a card again. Tell subscribers before their next billing date.
  6. Check the first renewals. Contracts bill on their next billing date. Watch the first ones go through before you rely on the new setup.
  7. Switch the storefront. Move your product widget and portal links to RecurX, and uninstall Appstle once the first renewals have billed.

What does not move: saved cards, past billing attempts and data that only your previous app uses. Your Shopify order history stays where it is.

Card details: saved cards do not carry over automatically. Customers pick a card already saved in Shopify in the customer portal, or enter a card again. To move saved payment methods from your old processor, contact Shopify Support; Shopify says this needs Shopify Plus or Enterprise (Shopify Help Center). You can book a free migration call with RecurX, and the full walkthrough is in the subscription migration guide.

Câu hỏi thường gặp

Is Appstle or RecurX cheaper?

It depends on your size. Appstle prices by subscription revenue: free to $500/month, $10 to $5,000, $30 to $15,000 and $100 to $100,000 (as of 27 September 2026). RecurX prices by subscribers: $29 for up to 1,000, $49 unlimited. Small programs pay less on Appstle; stores above $15,000/month with under 1,000 subscribers pay less on RecurX.

Does Appstle charge transaction fees?

No. Appstle’s listing shows a 0% transaction fee, and RecurX charges none either, so fees are not a difference between these two apps.

Can I move my Appstle subscriptions to RecurX?

Yes, with a CSV export from Appstle. RecurX has no direct Appstle connector. It needs customer email, Shopify variant ID, quantity, billing interval and next billing date for each subscription, and creates a new Shopify subscription contract for each row. Pause billing in Appstle first so nobody is charged twice. An import can be rolled back.

Will my subscribers have to re-enter their card details?

Plan for it. RecurX creates new subscription contracts rather than taking over Appstle’s, and saved cards do not carry over automatically. A customer who already has a card saved in Shopify can choose it in the RecurX customer portal; anyone else enters a card again. To move saved cards from your old processor, contact Shopify Support; Shopify says this needs Shopify Plus or Enterprise.

Does RecurX have a free plan like Appstle?

No. RecurX has Basic at $29/month and Pro at $49/month, each with a 14-day free trial and no transaction fee. If you are below about $5,000/month in subscription revenue, Appstle’s free or $10 plan will usually cost less.
